IFAT Munich – the world’s leading trade fair of environmental technologies, was held again after a four-year break in the period from May 30 to June 3, 2022. It is the largest fair dealing with water management, sewerage, waste and raw materials. The fair covered 260,000 m2 of exhibition space, through 18 pavilions and an outdoor exhibition space. 2,984 exhibitors from 59 countries and about 119,000 visitors from 155 countries, confirmed the fair as the most important platform for environmental technologies.
As a sustainable driver of the circular economy and the environmental industry, IFAT connects industry, politics and science, brings together solutions and innovations for sustainable resource management and is a major platform for networking. Also, visitors were able to see live demonstrations of machines and vehicles and participate in expert lectures and panel discussions on current sectoral topics. The focus of this year’s IFAT was innovation and new trends in environmental protection, the circular economy and resource efficiency, sustainable use and reuse of water, climate-resistant cities and environmentally friendly public rolling stock.
Following the world trends and achievements, and with the aim of creating further development plans, IFAT was visited by Kemis’ expert 6-member team this year as well.
